ATR 42-300

The first production version of this aircraft, introduced in 1985

ATR 42-320

The 320 had slightly more powerful engines better performance in higher air temperatures and higher altitudes.

ATR 42-400

A slightly improved version of the ATR 42-320 with 6 bladed propellers.

ATR 42-500

Although externally near identical to earlier models (except for having 6 bladed props), the 500 has a number of improvements, including a redesigned interior and more powerful engines.
