Bombardier CRJ (formerly Canadair CRJ)
A family of short range aircraft built by Bombardier of Canada, the worlds third largest builder of passenger aircraft (after Boeing and Airbus), having two rear mounted turbofan engines.
CRJ100The first of the bunch, introduced in 1992, with a seating capacity of 50. CRJ 200The CRJ200 is identical to the 100 except that it has uprated engines giving improved fuel efficiency. CRJ440The CRJ440 is similar to the 200 but with a lower weight limit and seating for 40 – 44 passengers. CRJ700The CRJ700 is a stretched version of the CRJ200 to give a seating capacity of 70. CRJ900Stretched again plus many other modifications, the CRJ900 has a seating capacity of 86. |
