The Polish low cost airline Wizz Air was established in 2003 with the first flight in 2004

Wizz air has a rapidly expending modern fleet of Airbus A320 and 321 aircraft.

The airline also operates as Wizz Air Hungary, Wizz Air Bulgaria, and Wizz Air Ukraine, in the respective countries.

The airline carried 33.8 million passengers in 2018, an almost 2o% increase on the previous year. This figure is mmore than 10 times the total for 2006, and makes it the 9th busiest in Europe.
