Swiss International Airlines (shortened to Swiss), is the main airline of Switzerland, and was formed after the 2001 bankruptcy of Swissair, officialy starting operations in 2002.
As of 01/07/07, Swiss became wholly owned by Lufthansa but continued under it’s own name and management with plans for expansion.
Swiss has a fleet of 89 aircraft, mostly Airbus and carried 17.9 million passengers in 2018, a 6% increase on the previous year.
