TUI is the airline previously known as Thomsonfly (part of the TUI group) until rebranding in October 2017.
Thomsonfly was formerly known as Britannia Airways but was rebranded in 2002.
The airline was granted a license for schedule flights in 1993 and acquired Unijet in 1998.
In 2007, TUI, the owners of Thomson and Thomsonfly aquired First Choice. The two airlines (First Choice Airways and Thomsonfly) merged and rebranded during 2009 as Thomson Airways.
In October 2017, the airline rebranded to TUI.
Thomsonfly has a fleet of 61 aircraft, and carried 11.2 million passengers in 2017, an increase of 3% from the previous year.
