Europe Airports - Jet2

Jet2, the low cost airline based in Leeds, UK, started flying operations in 2003, carrying 600,000 passengers in the first year (although the parent company, the Dart Group, had been flying under the name Channel Express Air Services since 1978).

In the Guardian and The Observer Travel Awards, Jet2 have been awarded Best European Short Haul Airline in 2006 and 2007.

Jet2 carried 9.6 million passengers in 2017, an increase of 30% from the previous year.
