Tirana Airport, otherwise known as Rinas Mother Teresa Airport, is located 25Km north of Tirana (the capital), western Albania. This is Albanias only international airport.
Rinas Mother Teresa airport is Albanias only International airport and has been undergoing extensive development work, including a new terminal, access road and parking, completed in 2007. The new terminal was further extended in late 2009.
To and From the Airport
A bus service runs from the airport to the city of Tirana every hour, during the day costing 300 Lek (2.25 GB Pounds).
Taxis are available, costing approximately 2500 Lek (19 GB Pounds) for the 30 minute journey into Tirana.
The airport recommends that licensed taxis are used, coloured yellow, and parked in-front of the terminal.
