Marseille/Provence Airport, otherwise known as Marignane Airport, is located 25Km North West Marseille, on the southern coast. Marseille, on the Cote d Azure, is the second largest city in France.
Marseille airport has 2 terminals – Terminal 1 which is divided into Hall 1, Hall 3 and Hall 4, plus the new budget terminal known as mp2 which opened in 2006.
The latter has a reduced level of facilities resulting in lower airport taxes, attracting the budget airlines.
To and From the Airport
The train station is situated approximately 1Km from the terminal buildings, with a regular shuttle bus connecting the two, a 5 minute journey.
A shuttle bus connects the airport to local towns and train station. A bus to Marseille every half hour during the day and evening costs around 8 Euros or a taxi to Marseille will cost around 50 Euros during the day.
