Gibraltar Airport, otherwise known as Airport, is located 1Km from Gibraltar City Centre, also giving access to the south west end of the Spanish Costa del Sol and the southern end of the Costa de la Luz
A new terminal building was opened in 2012 and work has started to divert the road which currently crosses the runway.
The airport runs alongside the Spanish border.
To and From the Airport
If Gibraltar is your destination, communication is not too much of a problem, the city centre is within walking distance of the airport. Buses and taxis are available however.
If intending to drive a hire car in Spain, it may be quicker to cross the border on foot, then hire the car in Spain.
