The land locked countyry of Serbia , originally part of Yugoslavia, then until 2006 in union with Montenegro, has a number of major rivers running through it, including the Danube (on which sits the capital city, Belgrade). Serbia also has large areas of forest and mountains, rising to over 2,600m.
Tourism in Serbia is mostly centred around the mountain resorts where you can trek, Kayak or ski, the stunningly simple life found in villages, and the spas with their natural healing qualities.
The currency in Serbia is the Serbian Dinar (RSD) although the Euro is also used in Kosovo along side the Dinar (Kosovo is seaking independence from Serbia).
(1 Serbian Dinar = approximately 0.007 Pounds or 0.008 Euros)
