Barra Airport , otherwise known as Eoligarry Airport, is located on the Outer Hebrides island of Barra, off the west coast of Scotland
Barra airport is believed to be one of only two in the world where the beach, at low tide, is used as the runway. In-fact the beach is wide enough for 3 runways to be marked out catering for different wind directions. The airport only caters for STOL (Short Take Of and Landing) type aircraft similar to the Twin Otter
