31/10/20 Berlin Brandenburg Airport Opens

Just 9 years behind schedule and massively over budget, Berlin Brandenburg airport has at last opened to commercial flights.

The first plane to land reportedly was an Easyjet flight which had made the short hop from Berlin Tegel airport, which is due to close next week.

The new airport will be replacing Tegel and Schoenefeld, the latter being incorporated into the new Brandenburg airport.
