With it’s roots back to 1946, the airline more recently consisted of 4 companies, SAS Sweden, SAS Norway, SAS Denmark and SAS International.
In 2009 the airline became one, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, as part of a necessary cost cutting exercise. The company returned to profit in 2011.
