Icelandair is Icelands largest airline, dating back to 1937, although the present name wasnt used until 1973. Making use of the countrys situation between Europe and the United States, the airline developed routes between the two continents with a stopover in Iceland.
The airline has a fleet of 15 aircaraft, all Boeings and the Icelandair Group also owns the domestic airline, Air Iceland.
Icelandair carried 4.4 million passengers in 2018.
